There is often confusion about what clients are entitled to when they look at the cost of purchasing IBM Software Maintenance Agreement (SWMA) for one of their Power Systems. Only with a valid IBM SWMA agreement in place will you get access to subscriptions, fixes, and new code defect support for all IBM Power Systems (including IBM System i® and IBM System p®) operating systems and associated software products.

So are here is what you are then entitled to when you renew your IBM SWMA;

Licence Subscription Ability to download and use new product versions/releases
Access to fixes and fix packages Ability to download and use IBM released fixes and fix packs
Access to new code defect support For when only a new fix will solve the problem
Access to IBM Labs & Development For in-depth problem determination
Access to the IBM Knowledge base RETAIN is an IBM database that includes every HW & SW issue ever logged with IBM
24×7 access to IBM specialists With our global network, we can provide 24×7, around-the-clock access to world leading technical expertise that are backed by vast IBM resources.
Access to Service IBM do not offer Time & Materials contracts for this support
Calls are strictly entitled and require a Signed SWMA Agreement and Purchase Order in place
Consideration should be given to the time it takes to contract & the After Licence Charge
